For 300 years the floral district has a history of providing skills and career opportunities for many in the disadvantaged and immigrant population in the city. Currently, there is a huge need for skilled workers in the floral district and helpers. During the peak of the season, many prominent companies are always looking for Floral designers, helpers, and drivers.

So, one of the main goals of the Museum is to train and help meet the growing demand. It sees the need for helping the disadvantaged population and providing them with an opportunity for growth and security.

Many of our greatest and most established florists were once immigrants and disadvantaged by racism and economic disparity. The district was able to give them a foot in the door, a chance to prove themselves and find their niche.

I interviewed a few, who came from all different levels to the district and how it impacted their lives and provided them with a place of belonging, growth, and purpose.
